About Renee

I was professionally trained at Paul Smiths College, a culinary school in Upstate New York, north of Lake Placid. After graduating at the top of my class with a Culinary Arts degree, I worked my way up in kitchens throughout both New York and Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Eventually, I relocated to the greater Philadelphia area and the breadth of my experience has been realized here over the past ten plus years. I have worked in both high end restaurants as well as catered private events throughout the area. My passion is cooking, writing about cooking, and eating and I adore sharing my passion with others who love food too.

I have been inspired to cook since I was young by my mother and grandmother, both of who have given me endless amounts of practice, particularly with authentic Italian cuisine. Like most Chefs, I am endlessly inspired by the little things in life, and enjoy creating simple, well done food that will inevitably always have ties to my bucolic upbringing in upstate New York.

I am currently living outside of Philadelphia with my husband, son, daughter, and two dogs.
